Mini Tesla Coil
The Mini Tesla Coil was built from kit available on eBay for around $5 total. The coil has a diameter of 20mm and is 60mm tall.
The primary coil consists of 1 turn of 1mm copper wire isolated by plastic.
The secondary coil consists of 350 turns of 0.15mm enameled copper wire. The driver contains two power transistors: 80NF70 and BD243.
Maximum power: 24V/2A
The coil produces a small corona discharge at the end of the secondary coil
and is able to wirelesly light up various fluorescent and neon tubes (see video above).
